In determining to initiate a family law proceeding, many people find themselves wondering where to start. Melissa Moss and Sylvia Pociask understand this uncertainty and sit down with each prospective client in order to answer questions and provide a framework for the next steps.

Melissa Moss
Partner
Melissa Moss received her law degree from the Saint Louis University School of Law after attaining a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Melissa’s degree in finance enables her to understand the economic complexities of a divorce in order to ensure that her clients receive a fair distribution of property, as well as the support necessary to build a new life.
Although she will work towards avoiding a courtroom fight in order to protect her clients from a protracted divorce, Melissa has the skills to advocate successfully for her clients if it is necessary to go to trial.

Sylvia Pociask

Sylvia Pociask received her law degree from the Saint Louis University School of Law after attaining a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from The George Washington University. Sylvia’s degree and personal life experiences allow her to empathize with clients and fight for what is important. Sylvia will advocate for her clients, whether it is protecting their children or getting enough support to maintain a certain lifestyle.
Sylvia has the skills to negotiate a fair settlement, or to prepare for and advocate at a contested trial.
